I was so thankful for our couples class today.  Couples are the foundation of our society and our church.  It was great to see husbands and wives and those thinking about marriage making an effort to improve their relationships.  God will bless them as they apply themselves to improving these relationships.

During the service, Pastor Greg spoke about the Apostle John and how God has lavished his love on us (I John 3:1).  But Pastor Greg gave us other scriptures showing us that John didn’t start out that way.  James and John, sons of thunder wanted to call fire out of heaven on people.  They wanted to be placed on the right hand of Jesus and even had their mother ask for them.  They were really self-centered.

But God changed John.  Jesus made John into the man that teaches us about love in his epistles.  He understood from his relationship with Jesus on earth that Jesus really does love him.  And Jesus really does love you…and knows what is going on in your life.  Seek him this week and let him help you with your life.  Praying for you.  See you Sunday.  Pastor Bob
