Nehemiah prepared the people for the fight that was going to happen. “Don’t be afraid of them,” he said. Fear keeps you from doing the things of God. Fear makes you focus on the size of the problem and not the size of your God.

“The Lord is great and awesome,” Nehemiah says, “but… you are still going to have to fight.” Just because you become a Christian does not mean that nothing goes wrong. Our God will fight for us but we have to be engaged in the battle. Remember when you struggle with life, to not look at the problem but look at God.
