Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day!!! As a father, I consider my children as my pride and joy. Everyday as they were growing up was a new adventure. What an amazing thrill to see a little living being recognize you as you walk into the room. Their smile would melt your heart.

I must admit it was kind of scary at times because they wanted to do everything you did. They wanted to be like you. What a responsibility to teach them properly and live correctly in front of them all the time. They see my mistakes and unfortunately imitate some of them.

The Apostle Paul admonishes fathers to not exasperate their children but bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4). Certainly there are many things in this world that try to take our time but as fathers, we must keep the training of our children as the most important thing that we have to do. It will take all the guidance of the Lord but with His help we can do it. Happy Father’s day. Pastor Bob
